Mission - to promote and develop our area's human and natural resources in order to sustain and enhance the economic and social well-being of the area's residents.

Belief Statement - The South Norfolk - Treherne Community Development Corporation believes there is potential for Economic Development within our area, and that Economic Development is beneficial to the community through job creation, increased tax base, increased population and other economic spin-offs.

Since the CDC is funded by the RM of South Norfolk and the Town of Treherne, the Mayor and Reeve are automatically members; the rest are elected annually. The staff person is employed on a part-time basis.

Community Works Loans Program

The South Norfolk - Treherne CDC established this program in 1999 to provide financial assistance to new or expanding businesses in the Town of Treherne or RM of South Norfolk. Loans of up to $10,000 are available for up to 5 years.
